About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Careers and Progression Coach to work closely with our Careers Service Manager and dedicated Careers Team.  In this role you will provide impartial CEIAG (Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance) to support service users to make realistic choices about their further education pathway, suitable careers, Apprenticeships or T-Levels in fashion retail.
 
The role will involve advising students on how to use all types of medium to promote themselves and their skills. This includes how to write a professional CV, cover letter and personal statement, using LinkedIn and other tools for recruitment, education, and training.

The role also supports students looking at education as their preferred progression route, advising them on the UCAS application process and supporting them with writing personal statements. A key part of the role will be to support a specific provision of study and our current and future Alumni

About you

  • We are looking for an experienced and confident communicator who is passionate about student career development and supporting young people.
  • You will have strong administrative skills and good IT skills, in particular a good working knowledge of Excel.
  • To be successful in this role you may have knowledge of the Fashion Retail Industry and of university and FE College processes in relation to progression.
  • We are seeking someone who has strong presentation and public speaking skills and is able to build good relationships with students and other colleagues.
  • You must be a compassionate and empathetic individual with excellent listening skills.
  • An approachable, friendly, enthusiastic, and professional approach is essential for the role.

Salary: 

From £26,550 to £29,500, subject to qualifications and experience
