Learning Support Assistant  
39 hours per week - Monday to Friday 
Term-Time Only Contract (42 weeks per year) 
Fixed-Term Contract until July 2025

About the role  

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-centric Learning Support Assistant to provide exceptional support to our Further Education students with declared needs. The role works closely alongside students to support their day-to-day learning, in class and out of class, helping to remove any barriers they may face accessing learning and participation. 

About you 

  • You will have a commitment to providing excellent customer service and building outstanding rapport with a diverse range of people.  
  • You will have a flexible approach and the ability to support the learning and development of students regardless of their starting points.  
  • You will have experience of working or supporting young people with special educational needs in an education setting.  
  • You will have excellent interpersonal skills and good written and oral communication skills.  
  • Previous experience of using MIS and Student Information Systems as a management tool would be beneficial.

Salary:  

From £22,727.25 to £25,252,50 per annum (pro rata of 1.05 FTE £24,570 to £27,300), subject to qualifications and experience 

Please note that this role is a fixed-term, term-time only contract until July 2025.
